I stand in solidarity with Communication Workers Union (CWU) members at BT, who voted yesterday for the company’s first national strike in 35 years.

This week I voted for Labour’s Opposition Day Motion on strengthening standards in public life, after the Prime Minister downgraded and rigged the rules in the wake of Sue Gray’s report into conduct at Downing Street.

Almost one-fifth of pensioners are living in poverty under this Government, including many here in our West Derby constituency. Today I questioned the Government Minister at DWP Questions.
