Challenging Government over air pollutant levels in Liverpool

I have this week tabled Written Questions to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural affairs about the levels of nitrogen oxide, an air pollutant, in Liverpool.

Air pollution is one of the biggest environmental threats to health in the UK, and the Government did not take strong enough action in its Environment Bill to tackle it.

The Government is currently consulting on environmental targets - including air quality - and you can submit your views on this until 27 June 2022: https://consult.defra.gov.uk/natural-environmentpolicy/consultation-on-environmental-targets/
