Passports backlog update for West Derby constituents

I have been contacted by many people in West Derby who have experienced long delays in applying for, or renewing, a passport. This has resulted in constituents missing family events, funerals, weddings and visiting loved ones who are unwell, and in people losing out on a lot of money if holidays have to be cancelled.

I have written to the Home Secretary demanding urgent action and I am currently putting a series of Written Questions to the Home Office in order to gain more information on waiting times for constituents than is currently available to MPs.
