Our green spaces protected forever with Fields in Trust

During the pandemic we witnessed the importance of green spaces for all in our communities.

I am delighted that Liverpool’s green spaces will forever be protected by Fields in Trust and proud to have played a part in securing this.

Liverpool City Council will become the first UK local authority to protect all of its parks and green spaces in a commitment that will see 100 green spaces, covering over 1,000 hectares, secured in perpetuity. I was honoured to speak about my work with Fields in Trust in Parliament this week.
