Letter sent to EFRA Secretary re profiteering & cost of food

It is a disgraceful injustice that my constituents in West Derby can no longer afford their weekly shop whilst profiteering continues by supermarkets unchecked.

Today I have written to Thérèse Coffey MP, the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) to ask her to intervene now to curb the selfish profiteering by some companies in the food supply chain.

I have also asked her to work with cabinet colleagues to make access to food a legal right for all through the implementation of the five key demands of our Right To Food campaign.
