Ian Byrne MP secures Government meeting on Hillsborough ‘Real Truth’ legacy work

Last week Ian Byrne MP tabled an Early Day Motion in Parliament to add education about the Hillsborough tragedy and subsequent cover-up to the National Curriculum.

Today at Prime Ministers Questions (PMQs) the Liverpool West Derby MP asked for Government support on this initiative as part of ‘The Real Truth’ legacy project and in response the Prime Minister agreed to a meeting between Mr Byrne and the relevant Government Minister to progress this further.

In a powerful performance in Westminster, Mr Byrne told the Prime Minister that educating school children about Hillsborough would help to confine to history the lies and smears about the tragedy through the power of education.
