Debate in Parliament on Independent Inquiry report into CL Final in Paris

This week in Parliament I secured a debate on the Independent Inquiry panel report into events at the 2022 Champions League Final in Paris. I was delighted that Ted Morris, Chair of Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association was able to join me for the debate and that St Alberts RC Primary School were also in attendance on the day.

I opened the debate by thanking life-saving LFC fans who once again stood up to lies and smears and some of the journalists who have made a difference. I asked the FA, who abandoned Liverpool fans in 1989, not to back the vested interests of UEFA, but to back supporters instead. Today, in 2023, we need the FA to show courage and leadership to ensure our collective demands are met by UEFA.
