Palestinians have the Right To Food

Today in Parliament I said that Palestinians have the Right To Food, after the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right To Food, Michael Fakhri, said at the weekend that more than 2 million people in Gaza are facing “inevitable famine”.

Now that the Government has opted to halt its funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees, I asked how it now plans to ensure that urgently needed humanitarian aid - as called for by the International Court of Justice last week - will continue to be delivered to the children, women and men in Gaza?
